An image I inserted is not displaying properly, how do I fix it?

If you have uploaded an image to My Files which is not displaying properly or is showing up as a box with a red "X" in it, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can follow:

First, check to see what format you have your image saved as. The image file extensions that are accepted are .jpg, .gif, .png.

Second, an image that is in CMYK format is meant for “print use only” and will not display on the Web properly. If you suspect that this might be the case, you will need to use image editing software to convert it to RGB format so it will show up properly.

Third, make sure that once you insert a picture into a page that you do not delete the original file you uploaded to My Files. When you insert an image into your page, it references the original file you uploaded into My Files and if that image file is no longer present it will show as a box with a red X in the upper left hand corner.
