What are the passwords for users imported into the People Manager?

 
Passwords for imported users are the same as the users' usernames which are a random set of characters automatically generated by the application at the time of import.  Upon logging in for the first time, these users will be prompted to change their username to their email address.
 
There are two ways to retrieve this information:
  1. A site administrator (or an editor with access to the People manager) can login to the control panel and view the profiles in the People manager, where the usernames will be visible (passwords will not display for security purposes).
  2. A site administrator or the individual users can click the forgot password link from the login area of the website and enter the email address of the imported user(s) to send the login information to them.
Please note that option two will require users to have email addresses associated with their profile (this information should have been included in the import document).
