Is it true that some search engines can't / don't crawl dynamic sites?

While Google's Webmaster Guidelines page warns that, "not every search engine spider crawls dynamic pages as well as static pages," all of the major search engines including: Google, Yahoo, MSN, and Ask, (which, according to a popular search engine optimization information site, account for 98% of web search traffic), are able to index dynamic sites without any problem.
