Can I change the pictures out on a system design template?

Since the masthead images on the system design templates are created as one complete image the only way to replace any portion of the masthead with your own pictures is to use a photo editing program such as Photoshop Elements, Corel Paintshop Pro, etc.

To do this you can follow these steps:
  1. Right-click on the masthead image you want to work with and select "Save As" and save the image to your computer's hard drive.
  2. Open the image in the image editing program of your choice.
  3. Use the image editing tools to cut or crop out the images you want to replace then paste in the new images.
  4. Save the new image.
  5. Upload the new image to My Files.
  6. Open the Designs manager.
  7. Click Add New Design.
  8. Click Import System Design.
  9. Search for the design from the list as though you were selecting it for your site design choice then click the design name when you are ready to import it.
  10. The imported design now appears in the preview area at the bottom of the screen.
  11. Choose "masthead" from the Styles selection box.
  12. Choose "background-image" from the Attributes selection box.
  13. Use the My Files button to locate and select your recently uploaded masthead image.
  14. Save and exit.
  15. Don't forget to apply the new design as your site's default using the Default Design tab of the Designs Manager
**Note - this is mainly a DIY project, these steps may not work for all system templates, especially those which have animated or flash-based masthead images.
